After the release of Guitar Hero World Tour TechZulu caches up with some of the creators of the game. Alan Flores the lead designer and Travis Chen the designer of the Music Studio for the game. The Music Studio portion of the game is a huge add on not only to the Guitar Hero series but to all the music games out there. Allowing gamers to create their own music and share that music with other Guitar Hero Fans. Since it creation it now has over 100K of user created music. Surely that this has now happened the next installment of Rock Band is almost guaranteed to come with its own version of the Music Studio.
Creating a new generation of musicians they hope to inspire some of these gamers to actually want to create some of their own real music and start laying down some tracks in a real recording studio. Knowing tons of musicians myself, picking up a guitar shaped controller and picking up an actual guitar are two totally separate experiences. At lease we will know why there is a sudden spike in guitar lessons. |

Quarter 1
This will usher in a new president, Barrack Obama, which will captivate Americans for about a week, that’s the majority attention span. He’ll hit the ground running and we’ll all be pleased, except for those that fear for the worst no matter how much good is happening. The market will continue to shake up, oil prices will finally flatten out, and gas prices will continue to hover in and around the $2.00 per gallon mark. The retail fallout of the 2008 season will slowly creep into the concerns of the market and the housing crash will continue to decrease sales, weakening the economy to the point of depression rates as unemployment increases, and tensions rise.
In World news, our allies will lean on the United States for aid in times of need as Israel and the Middle East swarm into an even larger mess than they already have. Their concern for our holidays and new president won’t do much to change their course of action, but how the new administration fields those situations will make for an interesting:

2008 will go down as a year of great activity, not only for the election and the economy but for the evolution of community and culture online. In short, a lot happened this year. Here at TechZulu, we too are reflective about the year that is about to pass but also really excited about the future ahead.
