TweetROI: Think You Have the Influence Marketers are looking for?
Advertising & PR
Written by Efren Toscano

Are you willing to give up your authenticity for it?  There is a new Pay-Per-Tweet platform called TweetROI that is enabling people with a substantial amount of followers and Influence get a return on tweeting out message's for Businesses, Products, and Services.  Here is how it works:

  • Advertisers provide a product
  • Twitter users choose if they want to Tweet it and even choose the words to do that.

Advertisers Benefits:

  • Campaign tracking and analytics;
  • Full control: messenger quality, number of messengers, tweet scheduling, etc

Some details and innovations:

  • Twitter users/ publishers are ranked based on their UserRank consisting of:
    • TalkRank (built depending on how often the account is updated)
    • ConversionRank (based on the number of replies)
    • ViralRank (based on the number of retweets)
  • Pay-per-Tweet model: Tweets are worth “$0.25 - $75.00″
  • Twitter users may remain authentic (e.g. recommend the product in your own words)
  • Transparency: tweet only undisclosed campaigns
  • Affiliate program for attracting more marketers.
If you have tons of followers and you are given the ability to make some money off of a few products you are really into then why not?  There are already a few companies that have begun marketing on TweetROI: AMCTV; Jelly Belly; Skechers; Search Engine Strategies; ChristianCafe.com; Auto Parts Warehouse; and GerberLife; and 12for12k.  Of course there is always the risk of losing a few followers by joining in on this.  Let us know what you think and how this might benefit or damage the use of twitter.
